Scott Buswell Case Study - Professional Agent vs Private Sale

In June 2019, Scott was engaged by a repeat client to sell their industrial building in Mangere to allow for business expansion. After taking into account the unique factors of the scenario, an off market campaign was selected as the most suitable method. At the same time a neighbour in the same complex with an identical unit elected to sell their property privately to save on agency costs. 


After a short competitive process Scott had three interested parties, two of which made offers, leading to the successful sale at a price above the vendors’ expectations. In a similar amount of time the neighbouring unit sold, however achieved a much lower price.


Scott's involvement netted an extra $103,000 in value, far exceeding the cost of the agency commission.
