Peter works alongside David to cover all Sales & Leasing across Papakura and more recently East Tamaki. With Blair stepping in to a full-time managing director role in January 2018, up and coming agent Peter Hwang was appointed to work alongside David in East Tamaki. Blair left some extremely big shoes to fill, and Peter has proven to be an excellent fit for the new role.

Joining James Group in 2017, Peter established himself in the Papakura/Takanini and Pakuranga locations and showed great success, transacting 37 deals in his first 10 months.

After obtaining a Bachelor of Commerce at Auckland University, Peter worked at both a small business and a large corporate company before joining James Group. This experience has enabled him to interact and negotiate with a wide range of business owners, understanding their requirements and finding the best solution to meet their needs.

Born in South Korea and raised in Auckland, he is fluent in Korean and English with an understanding of two cultures. Honesty and integrity are two values he highly regards.

The property was for sale on a general agency earlier in 2019 and Team East Tamaki, David, Peter and Matt were working closing with a purchaser looking to purchase a tenanted investment in South Auckland. The issue was the building was being sold with vacant possession.


The purchaser was hesitant in pursuing the opportunity without the tenant in place. The team were able to look into their tenant database and offer the property for lease. 


They were able to connect the dots and line up two potential tenants and a long term lease was fully executed before the due diligence period resulting in a happy vendor, purchaser and tenant.
